STAMPING

This demonstration part is called Omega and is manufactured using a stamping process.

Starting with a plate of carbon and thermoplastic polymer, it is heated in an infrared oven. It is then placed in a mold so that a press can give it its final shape.

This type of part is used as reinforcement.

As with many other parts, stamping is a widely used technique for giving composite sheets complex shapes. It is a fast and flexible process thanks to thermoplastics, which offer the possibility of modifying the part if necessary.
